Terms of Use
Effective August 2026. Last updated August 2026.
These Terms govern your use of costbeaver.com (the "Site"), operated by CostBeaver. By using the Site you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
What CostBeaver is
CostBeaver provides informational cost estimates for home projects and, when you request them, connects you with third-party licensed contractors. We are not a contractor, we do not perform work, and we do not sell equipment. Estimates are modeled from regional pricing data and your inputs — they are not quotes, bids, appraisals, or guarantees, and your actual cost depends on your home, materials, and the contractor you choose.
No professional advice
Content on the Site — including cost, insurance, rebate, and tax information — is general and for educational purposes only. It is not legal, tax, insurance, or professional advice. Verify anything important with a licensed professional before you rely on it.
Quote requests
When you submit a quote request you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to share the phone number and email given. You authorize us to pass that information to partner contractors and authorize those contractors to contact you, as described in the form and our Privacy Policy.
Third-party contractors
Contractors reached through the Site are independent businesses. We don't employ, supervise, or guarantee them or their work, pricing, licensing, or insurance, and any agreement you make is directly between you and the contractor. Do your own due diligence — check licensing, insurance, and references.
Intellectual property
The Site, its content, and its calculators are owned by CostBeaver and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
Disclaimers
The Site and all estimates are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CostBeaver will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any amount exceeding what you paid us to use the Site (which is typically nothing), arising from your use of the Site or any contractor you connect with through it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
